Troy Renck of the Denver Post reports that the Rockies are a finalist for free agent reliever Kevin Gregg, but not the favorite. That’s because, according to Renck, Gregg has been guaranteed the closer’s job with the Marlins, while he would be just a setup man with the Rockies.

This is NOT cool at all.  Haven’t we already taken the Kevin Gregg model out for a test drive?  Good grief.
